Atropatena

Shervin Najafpour’s exclusive fashion show ‘Atropatena’ debuted in one of Baku’s most prestigious lounges, Pasifico hosted by ADDIM.<br /> This collections main inspiration comes from the Media-Atropatena empire, today's modern Azerbaijan. Atropatena meaning the guardian of the holly fire. The winter spring collection is sexy at the same time innocent, celebrating the female body with figure-flattering stilluets, with main focus on curves. The Atropatena collection is based on many beautiful fabrics and materials, such as laces, silks, shinny creps, faux leather, real leather, hand sewn beads, Swarovski crystals and flower decorations. All the garments are named after old and modern Azerbaijani names. Each one of them symbolizes a hint of Azerbaijani history, such as the dress Tebriz, inpired by the Shahriyar mausoleum in Tebriz. Then to draw attention to the conflict area Karabakh, the dress is decorated with hand sewn black flowers and beads, representing the black garden. The Fashion Show in Baku was organized by ADDIM Huseyn Cavadzade. Models by Fashion Model School by Lyubov Gutorova. Photographer: Yusif NovruzZadeh.
